Union 10 Football Club Mobile

A Union for Greatness

A LETTER FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

November 12, 2024

Dear Mobile Union Families,

We hope this message finds you well. After careful consideration and many discussions, we have made the difficult decision to unaffiliate from our partnership with Union 10 FC (Top Tier and Union Baldwin County). This decision was not made lightly, but we firmly believe it is in the best interest of our players, their families, and the growth of our athletes to return to our roots as a club.

When we entered this partnership, our vision was to strengthen the soccer community by bringing Mobile and Baldwin counties together, creating more opportunities for players in our area. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the results of this collaboration have not lived up to our expectations or the goals we set out to achieve. In fact, we believe that this partnership has had a negative impact on Union Mobile, and we feel that returning to our original structure is the best way to ensure the long-term success and growth of our players and club.

As a club, our priority has always been the development and success of our players. Moving forward, we are committed to focusing on what makes Mobile unique, fostering a sense of community, and providing our athletes with the tools they need to grow both on and off the field. We also remain dedicated to giving every child the opportunity to play soccer, regardless of skill level, and to growing the sport in our area so that more children can experience the benefits of the game.

For current Union Mobile players, this change will have no impact on your experience. You will continue playing under the same structure. For our top-tier players, you will complete your season as planned and, if your team is successful, continue into the summer competitions. We will return to our original club crest and name May of 2025, Mobile United Futbol Club. Please note that you will need to participate in tryouts for Mobile United Futbol Club when the tryout schedules are announced. For now, we will continue Spring 2025 season as Union 10 FC Mobile. There will be no changes until May 2025 when tryouts take place for the upcoming Fall season.

We understand you may have questions, and we encourage you to reach out to any of the following for assistance: Jennifer Fleming, Kevin de Lange, or Ryon Depinet. As always, we remain dedicated to supporting your children and helping them reach their fullest potential.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. We look forward to the exciting times ahead as we return to our core values and continue to build a strong future together.

If you have any immediate questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Union 10 FC Mobile Board of Directors

Q: Will I have to order new uniforms for Spring 2025?

Q: What will happen next fall if my team was playing in National League Mid South?

A: National League placement depends on team performance and annual applications. Our history of success supports our ability to compete at high levels, regardless of rebranding.

Q: What level of competition will players participate in under Mobile United Futbol Club?

A: Teams will have the opportunity to participate in tournaments, Across Borders League, Mobile City League, Alabama State League and National League Mid South.

We fully expect to maintain our level of competition. Mobile United FC has a strong history of teams competing at all levels earning placements in State Championships, National League’s Mid South, President’s Cup, and regional tournaments. These successes were part of what enabled our Union teams to compete in the National League Mid South in our first year, even as a new entity. Our goal is to seek out opportunities for all players no matter what their level of skill that will help push players even further in their development.
